Farm-Based Justification & In-House Design

A comprehensive Farm Management Plan was prepared to demonstrate the strategic need for a dwelling in support of an intensified agricultural enterprise. In parallel, OTL prepared the full set of development plans in-house, ensuring the siting, layout and built form response aligned directly with the agricultural justification and overlay constraints. This integrated planning and drafting approach allowed the dwelling to be positioned to: Protect productive grazing land Respond appropriately to environmental and waterway interfaces Align with the objectives of the relevant Rural Land Use Strategy Maintain long-term agricultural viability

Overlay Navigation & Coordinated Approval

The application required careful navigation of multiple planning controls within the Farming Zone. OTL coordinated the planning strategy, development drawings, environmental considerations and Council liaison through to permit issue. The approved outcome demonstrates an evidence-based approach to securing rural dwellings where agricultural justification, overlay response and design integration must operate cohesively.
